I liked it, felt odd though. Liam Send a noteboard - 06/06/2010 04:47:35 PM
I liked it.
And, like Monkey, I got teary-eyed in the museum. I always do in these types of episodes.

I want to know more about the Doctor's godmother.

And I love and adore Bill Nighy. Words are not enough.
Also, his pronounciation was much closer to what I consider acceptable than anyone else's, including Van Gogh himself.

Thoughts?

Moffat seems intent on reminding us of The Doctor's past incarnations. Which I like.

As for the pronunciation thing, well, you could make the argument that ol' Nighy, as the only expert, would be the closest to getting it right, and the others would say it in the standard British way, even if it is wrong. We can also ignore the Doctor's and Van Gogh's pronunciations as translations by the TARDIS into British English...tenuous, and arguably defending the indefensible, but.

It's interesting to see how The Doctor is dealing with the loss of Rory, after all, it's more his loss than Amy's (at the moment).

Oh, how simply grand it is to be travelling by dirigible again. Direct us to the west good sir, tonight we will remember what it is to live.
