Good Ep - my thoughts:

- Bill is hanging out with the most flamboyantly gay couple ever written in all of vampire lore (and that's saying something). The blood dishes were hilarious, and the King of Mississippi is just so over the top. When I saw him I was like.... what is this british foxhunter doing here and why hasn't Bill eaten him? I loved how Bill just set his bitch of an ex on fire without even saying hello.

I wonder if he DID though.. the last time he took a vamp life, he had to make a new vamp, and THAT doesn't seem to be working out so much for him, does it? I think (and this is not a spoiler, but I think a change from the books) it might have been him WISHING he could do that. We'll see.

- Sookie is still in mission mode, getting closer to Eric and getting the attention of the weres in the process. We finally saw her (sort of) use her telepathy again.

- Eric used to be a nazi? not surprising, I suppose. It was neat to see Godric again. I didn't think he got nearly enough screentime last season before his retarded suicide (which was one of northman's best scenes, regardless)

I'm with Missa on this one - he was just wearing the uniform. He did look even better in the uniform though, as if THAT was possible.

Seriously, the suicide scene where Eric begs Godric.. an AMAZING scene. I've watched it a couple of times.

- Jessica is just hilarious. And a disaster. I liked how she finally bonded with Pam over the whole "what do I do with a body?" thing... though where her victim is now is a mystery.

- Jason is just being Jason. Getting real drunk and helping out Andy was neat.

- Tara and Lafayette (whom I LOVE) had a neat journey this ep. I just really can't get enough of Lafayette - he always has so many great one-liners.

- And, finally Sam. Poor sam. Did you really think your white trash shifting family would accept you? Well, I guess in a way, they did. I liked how they portrayed his mom - she came across as a woman who has struggled with her own demons and hasn't necessarily won the battle every time - her son is apparently a chip off the block as well. Can't wait to see how this goes.

Also, the Stackhouse family tree plug was interesting - I was wondering when they were going to touch on Sookie's gifts and how she got them.

I don't think it's so much about how she got her gifts, as much as it is research by Bill to find out more about Sookie hidden so she wouldn't find it. Hell hath no fury.
