And your comparison to Blair Witch is appropriate. In that regard, Blair Witch 2 may be the worst movie ever made so I don't have high hopes for this at all. 
It was just a regular horror flick that had nothing in common with the first film except for the legend. I wonder if it would have done better had it copied the style of the first, as PA2 seems to do.
