I think The Master was given (or offered?) an extra set of regenerations. Liam Send a noteboard - 24/07/2010 07:03:47 PM
So, we all know that Time Lords only get 12 regenerations, right? At least, that's what wikipedia says (because of the Master). So what happens when we get to the thirteenth Doctor? Thirteen because of the first Doctor, plus twelve regenerations, of course.

Do we get a reboot? Some sort of magical snake spell like in the movie? Some other weird timey-wimey thing? Moffat's keen to keep reminding us of the last eleven Doctors, so this stuff with Amy can't have reset him back to zero. Can it?

Maybe without Gallifrey around there's no limit?

Then again, maybe it's the opposite, and there's no way to get an extra set.

I don't think it's something to be too worried about yet anyway.

Oh, how simply grand it is to be travelling by dirigible again. Direct us to the west good sir, tonight we will remember what it is to live.

Only because he had a non-Time Lord body at the time. - 26/07/2010 04:41:09 PM 385 Views
