If you accept that as the reality, then yes, you're right. However, the people saying that maybe everything happened in Cobb's limbo have some strong arguments, and if that was the case, Ariadne might have just been pretending to have him teach her, despite knowing in advance. Cobb did say that she learned way faster than anyone he'd ever known...
