Introducing Mycroft without naming him and having him introduce himself as Holmes' enemy certainly had me thinking it was Moriarty, and, of course, it may well be that they will go that route. But I hope not.
Agreed. Thought that was very clever. I've not reached Mycroft in the books yet (at least, I think I haven't) so it doubly didn't enter my mind that it might be him.
