Lost DVD set: How f***ing typical Cannoli Send a noteboard - 27/08/2010 03:21:15 AM
So, having not purchased any Lost seasons on DVD before, I bought the complete set in the collector edition. Among the things included is a game set for that game that Jacob & the Kid in Black played in "Across the Water." It has a board, ten pieces (five black and five white irregularly shaped stones), and NO COPY OF THE RULES. I think the writers must have wet their pants laughing when they approved this stuff.

There's a neat bonus feature on the DVD called "New Man in Charge" which is sort of an epilogue to the season. Considering how short it is, it is a surprisingly satisfying wrap up of some loose ends for one character, as well as the Orientation video for the Hydra station with hints that tie together a bunch of Dharma Initiative questions (such as what they were DOING with the polar bears, and what was up with the brain-washing facility where they rescued Carl). The dialogue in this short also can be read as a final message from the creators to the fans, particularly in regard to the never-ending questions and requested clarifications. Even if you aren't going to watch the DVD, it's probably on the internet somewhere by now. Check it out.
