Even though I am a fan of the graphic novel, I didn't see the movie until Friday night (watched it with my dad, who is also a big fan of the novel).
Anyway, I thought the movie was excellent.....as good as it possibly could be (including the outstanding soundtrack)! It was extremely devoted to the novel, even using much of its dialogue. The few differences were minor and understandable. The fake versions of Nixon and other political/news figures were awkward, but what can you do?
I know that Alan Moore was upset with the production and pulled his name from the project.....any reasons why? As I mentioned before, it was pretty faithful to the source material.
All-in-all, loved the movie.....

Whole heartedly agree and question for those who saw the director's cut.

It didn't seem long at all, to me. Or slow. *NM*
