Even poor Donna? Seems a bit unfair to her. 
Unfair to her and the Doctor. After all, he would have happily had an equal (in terms of time intelligence) with him on the trip. At least he saved her life and put her into a better position with her family. He did the best that he could do under the circumstances.
DVR is amazing. Season 5 doubly so. 
I'm psyched!
