28 Days Later is not a Zombie film. The infected are alive not dead.
I think they're still considered zombies though. Not undead zombies, just zombies. Typically any human devoid of conscious thought, soul or self-control is considered a zombie.
At least not by anyone who is an authority on the subject. Zombies are either dead or if they are alive a Voodoo Zombie.
While I agree the infected movie is a very close relative to the zombie movie it is still seperate.
