Even in the pilot the stargate was used, and not just to arrive on Destiny.

Maybe it wasn't used in every single episode, but that doesn't make it not a Stargate show.

I've never really understood why so many people have dogged on this show, as it is the highest quality television of all of the Stargate franchise. No really bad acting from RDA and Co., no cheesy looking Goa'uld, no tongue in cheek humor.

That is stuff is what made Stargate a Stargate. Don't get me wrong, this show is decent/good soap opera scifi...like BSG. But (and some people really need to read what I first posted) just having the Stargate does not make this a Stargate show. This particular show should not have been tied to a previous show like Caprica was to BSG.


And seriously, what is up with being halfway through the second season and our understanding of the ship is only slightly better than it was on the first episode?
