I saw the stargate movie on tv the other day and thought it would be interesting to check out the tv series too, but only place I found it for sale sells them for 40 euros/season, and I find that tad expensive. What I'm asking is, is it worth 40 e/season? What are your opinions?
If those options aren't available, rent them. It's actually pretty decent-good. The last two seasons are kind of a waste though, and the show might have even found a natural end at S7.
The main advantage to a show like this is that there are a lot of episodes, and they build on and refer to things.
Farscape is better sci-fi, IMO. Firefly, too, although it's brief and the theme song is awful.
