I thought it was a little heavy-handed in the philosophy, the rave scene was way to long, as well as that chase scene. The writing was rather stilted. The movie needed more serious editing and refining. As it was, I felt that the first movie was mostly self-contained. The second movie, with some bigger flaws, also depends on the third movie more to complete a story (more like part I and II), and as such the third movie brings the second lower than it might otherwise have been in my opinion.
