Good thing nothing good was bumped. *NM*

Tonight was supposed to be the mid-season premieres of Smallville and my favorite show Supernatural. Instead, The CW felt that the Vampire Diaries and the Nikita fans would run away in droves to watch American Idol. So The CW decided to bump Smallville and Supernatural back a week and re-air the mid-season premieres of The Vampire Dairies and Nikita tonight so they won't lose any viewers.
Well, as the article linked below says, they seriously underestimated the fan bases as both shows didn't show any significant drop in viewership. Gee, network executives underestimating devoted fan bases? Nooooo really?

So apparently The CW overreacted to American Idol's return
