This series gets better with each episode.
I'm still put-off by the Dothraki (they just don't come across as right to me) and there seems to be some missed moments, but it's pulling me in for sure.

Rlly? The Dothraki are spot-on if you ask me!
It's hard to judge having read the books, but two friends who have not read the books are really getting into it and asking a lot of questions. It's a quality show as usual for HBO.

I showed it to two un-read friends and one found it boring and another immoral (with a random overview he found all nude scenes in 10 mins for some reason 
). Glad to hear others can get into it.
