She is rather clever and learned it from her grandmother who plays a very important role in their wedding scene in the book (their wedding). She is very good at handling Joffrey and seems better trained at the politics of Westeros than the Stark kids were. I guess I spoiled it that Joffrey doesn't marry Sansa. She is also kind to Sansa in the books. I really liked her character.
