Rewatching the season via HBO ONDemand.....questions for those that read the books:

1. Who built the Wall?


Legend says Bran the Builder started and then the Night's Watch just kept adding to it.

2. How did Ned figure out Jaime is the father of Cersei's kids? The show makes it pretty simplistic.....i.e., based on hair color. It is more complicated in the book?

3. Does the book shead any light on how the dragons were born from petrafied eggs? Was it just the heat or did that witch lady have something to do with it?


Not really. I believe there's a GRRM quote somewhere that says it was the human sacrifce aspect.

4. What do we know about Jon Snow's real parents?


Nothing definitive, but I say strongly implied to be the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna.

If he is a Targaryen, why does he have black hair?


Genetics.
