I did not like the last 40 minutes or so of the film. I expected so much more from ... *SPOILERS*

the battle at Hogwarts.
Snape's expulsion as Headmaster could have been better. I wanted McGonagall to say something before attacking but instead just hurled spell after spell. And Snape's exit was lame-o. I expected him to turn into a bat when he flourished that greatcloak of his but nooooooooo, it was just the standard Lost Monster cloud thingy.
Where was the scene with Voldemort in a threeway duel vs Professors McGonagall, Slughorn, and Kingsley?
Molly Weasley vs Bellatrix was underwhelming. Although, I admit that shrinking Lestrange's corset was brilliant.
Flitwick was useless. All he did was cast the defensive charms and run from trolls/giants.
The final scenes were horrible. Aftermath of Voldy's death was lame and stupid. He just broke the wand and threw it away? WTF, the least he could have done was repair his old wand. And the trio just standing there looking at us viewers was awkward.
The audience and I literally LOL'd at the epilogue. Did you see Ginny's ridiculous do? And Harry and Ginny did NOT look like they were old enough to be parents. At all! They could have been the children's older siblings if I didn't know better.
blegh

That change had to be made, just like Frodo/Gollum/Mount Doom.....

I certainly think you're in the majority, re: 7.1 being easily the best movie in the series. *NM*

Yes, no surprise that you'd have more tolerance for the changes.

The books are more coherent, more humourous, and more complex, to sum it up.
