Rewatching the season via HBO ONDemand.....questions for those that read the books:

1. Who built the Wall?

Bran the Builder was the head of building the wall. It was built after Westeros first fought the Wildlings and everything up North, beoynd the wall.

2. How did Ned figure out Jaime is the father of Cersei's kids? The show makes it pretty simplistic.....i.e., based on hair color. It is more complicated in the book?

IIRC, it was all pretty much based off of that. He just say that nothing really matched up. I feel like the show did a decent job of matching the books in this regard.


He researched a lot more and it took a lot longer for the pieces to add up.

3. Does the book shead any light on how the dragons were born from petrafied eggs? Was it just the heat or did that witch lady have something to do with it?

I don't think we were given a straight answer here. I thought it had to do something with the witch but mainly from the heat of the funeral pyre. But my guess is as good as yours.


A life for a life, black magic from Asshai was real. Dany sacrificed the maegi for her dragons, not the heat of the fire.
