Either way, I think he looked great and Weaving had more acting skills behind that mask than others throughout their whole career.



Sounds good :D I do hope he was able to pull of a decent German accent, though :D

I didn't read it like that at all. They chose Cap to join the army despite of his lack of strength because of his ambition and morals. He said something like "I don't wanna kill anyone. I just don't like bullies", which I found to be such a refreshing take, instead of the usual "proud to die for your country"-crap.



Well, I haven't seen it yet (going tonight! :D ), but if that does turn out to be his primary motivation, I'll admit to being disappointed, since, like Cannoli said, "bully" is a subjective term, and...well, you know how I feel about the rest of it :P

But, I have already accepted that I'm going to have to sit through yet another helping of Hollywood History if I want to enjoy the rest of what this movie has to offer, so I can definitely live with it. I'll just roll my eyes at the appropriate times ;)
