What does a party have to do with anything?I'm talking about principles not a political organization Cannoli Send a noteboard - 06/08/2011 03:11:19 AM

The sad thing is I am actually a moderate republican which puts me far far to the right of most of the people here (who are European liberals which in America we would call socialists). But lord cannoli you make the tea party look sane...

Actually, in this day and age that even puts you to the right of Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon even.

"Lord Cannoli" I like that!

The Republican party, despite a brief flirtation with constitutionalism and minimal government philosophy, in the middle of the 20th century, returned to its government/regulation increasing roots decades ago. That's why I have never voted for a Republican for president, and take every opportunity to ridicule my auxiliary sister's blind affection for Reagan based solely on his campaign speeches and writing off every single contradictory action of his presidency as the fault of bad advisers or a Democratic Congress.
