I like it, even if it keeps attracting complaints about not being authentic enough. Some of the characters are superb - Lix in particular is excellent.

Eh, some people are just too keen on catching some detail that is wrong so they can feel smart.

It seems plenty authentic to me, at least. Of course I'm neither British nor old enough to have memories of the fifties, but still. :P
It is a shame it is only 6 episodes, I think the pacing would have been better with a couple more. Hopefully they will get a second series if they have a good plot for it.

Seems like six episodes will work well for the amount of plot there is, I have no complaints about the pacing... but it's true that with such a good concept and good characters, they could just have written a more extensive plot. Or make a second series as you say - one can't help but think Bel and Freddie will end up together eventually, but it would feel rushed indeed if they did so in episode six. And there's certainly more potential in Lix, in Bel's mother, and various other secondary characters.

Of course, a second series would have to find some other political events to run in the background, and I can't think of much in the fifties after Suez that would qualify...
