I thought that was actually fun - Edit 1

Certainly not flawless, but extremely entertaining. The only things that bugged me were, like so often, the son character and how quickly the kids met possible love interest (although maybe there is a twist in that, see below). Already not a big fan of geek girl meeting surfer type face.
They explained the butterfly effect dilemma away in a sentence, so that's settled and done. Good. I still don't get what they hope to achieve in the past. Live a few (million) good years before the meteor strikes? But that's fine, we knew the premise was silly, now let's roll with it.

As for the parents, the action and especially Stephen Lang: I am content. Dinosaurs did look better in, hell, 1993, I agree. But they're on a TV budget, I can live with that. The attacks on the cars really felt like Jurassic Park and that's a great thing, even if not new.
I wished they would have killed one of the stupid kids, just to set an example, but they got fucked up pretty good so that was okay for now and hopefully stops them from going the "what stupid stunt will they pull this week" routine.

The mysteries they set up are intriguing and they did a great job setting a mood of wonder and excitement upon arriving in the settlement that includes dinosaurs.
I just hope they do not take the "The Sixers are actually the good guys" turn.

What struck me as particularly weird is that we didn't see the son's gf's face through the fence when he left. And as soon as Sky (?) turned up I thought: Oh wait that's how I thought his gf looked through the fence. So, I have no idea how that could work or if that even makes sense, but maybe there is more to that...

Fun show, I am sold for now.
