The whole reason I logged onto RAFO tonight was to post something similar to this! WIERD!! - Edit 1

I haven't been coming to the site that often recently (when I am online I've been focusing on the Occupy Movement). In my "off time" I have been watching the 2005 Doctor Who series, which for a while now I have somewhat dogged on here and other websites, never having been a fan. I'd never been impressed by the show in any of the half dozen episodes I'd seen until recently. My main reason for watching this show from the beginning was to catch as much of the Torchwood mentions and connections (LOVES ME SOME TORCHWOOD!!).

Some of the reason I never got into Doctor Who was of course the Daleks and the Cybermen. HOKEY CHEESY ANNOYING!! As a matter of fact, my least favorite episode of Torchwood is "Cyberwoman" specifically because of the cheesy design of the cybermen (sure, I know, continuity with the original Doctor Who shows, but still, they look like shit). Then there was the perceived tendency I saw for the actors playing The Doctor to over act.

But now, after seeing all the way through the episode "Army of Ghosts" I have to admit something...

I was wrong.

Wow, I said it.

Yes, I was wrong when I said that Doctor Who sucked. I've become very interested in the characters (outside the Doctor), and have found myself rather enjoying the show.

So I signed online to post that, to apologize (oops -- "Sorry to all those Doctor Who fanatics for offending your show" -- there, now I've apologized too) for my previous attitude towards the show.

And that's when I saw this thread. So Ood, I mean, ODD.

I always kinda hated the campy nature of the show, but I figure if I could love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its seriously ( ;)) tongue in cheek attitude, I can deal with it from Doctor Who.
