I just read an MTV interview with David Yates, posted yesterday, where he talks about how they're actively looking for a writer to do a script right now.

But then there's nothing in the (short) interview to suggest it wouldn't be a movie with the current tv Doctor, so I don't know. But everything I've read says that Yates is working with the BBC on this project and that it's unconnected to the show. So clearly someone somewhere doesn't know what they're talking about, whether it's Moffatt or Yates.
