I don't think it makes sense to fault a movie for looking the same as other movies that take place in the same universe.

I also think that is odd.

However, I felt that the trailer just didn't say anything about the movie. It was just a bunch of images/scenes after each other, some of them not yet gone through final production.

And I agree with this. The trailer itself wasn't great (imo), but I think the characters look good, and I have faith. :P
