I both watched the film and read the original book. I haven't read anything by the author, Robert Nathan, in years but I seem to recall that he wrote a lot of semi-fantasy romances.

Was the book as enjoyable as the movie looked like it was? It is a pity the paranormal romace has seemed to digress like this....rather funny this came up when I was wondering if you could write a Fantasy book without violence.

I think I liked the book better. Too many shortcuts in the movie. But, as I said, it's been a while.
