But some of her origin stories (there have been a few, as I understand it) speak of her being "biologically enhanced" by various weapon labs or whatever. So she might not have abilities that break the laws of physics, but she's definitely juicing on the best military drugs.

You know all those times Luke fought side by side with Han, Leia & Chewie in Return of the Jedi? Oh, you don't? You know why? Because even George Lucas knows you don't put guys with superpowers on a team with mere mortals! A chick in a catsuit and a guy with a bow and a guy with a shield, no matter how much fictitious steroids are in their systems simply have no business running with a Norse god, a rage-fueled giant, and guy wearing a compact tank/fighter jet weapon. It's like those old cartoons where Superman teamed up with a bunch of lamer superheroes and they had to come up with plot devices to explain why Superman couldn't solve the problem all by himself in this episode. All a god might possibly need in the way of team-up help is a normal person to provide him with context and acculturation, not a bunch of weirdos so out of touch with normal humans that they shot up a ton of drugs or spent thousands of hours practicing archery to have something that makes them stand out enough to be considered for a freak show like the Avengers.
