After all Dr Doom never got his superpowers by being shocked by the same energy that gave the fantastic four their powers.


Of course, in the comics, Doom is a powerful sorcerer in addition to being a technological genius. I can see why they didn't include that in the movie.

One of the problems I had with the Fantastic Four movie is that Sue Storm is "referred to" as a brilliant scientist who is leading Doom's genetic research department. And yet when everyone's radiated DNA leads to bizarre physiological changes, she plays no part in studying it.
