Which cultures (nations) films do you find yourself most interested in?

It varies.

Do you prefer dubs over original language, in live-action and/or animated?

Dubs are never allowed. Sometimes for well-done animated translations like Miyazaki it is okay, but if the film is live-action it is always subtitles.


How did you find yourself becoming interested in foreign films, (i.e. Audrey Tautou obsession, Asian horror obsession, general interest in foreign culture)?

I just like them. Because I like movies. A person who claims to like film but won't watch something with subtitles or in another language doesn't actually love cinema.

What 'hyped' foreign film has let you down upon viewing it (if any)?

Foreign films are hyped?

How do you feel about remakes, are there any that have been pulled off successfully?

I don't typically like them, since they're not usually well-done. I'm sure there are a few that are, but none spring to mind immediately.
