Oh My God, why?? Not Dale! The last voice of reason on that whole farm! While everyone else ranges somewhere between indifference and insanity, he always was the one who put things in perspective and remained humane. I can't believe he's gone! And just because of that stupid kid! But I think this tragedy will safe Randall's life, because they won't feel like executing anyone now. Whether that's a good thing remains to be seen.

His character was quickly becoming useless at this point. They couldn't have him continue giving the same speech over and over and Glen, who he was sort of mentoring, doesn't need him anymore. His role on the show was done.
