Hmmm I think you are missing the point of the show Dark Knight Send a noteboard - 30/04/2012 09:46:41 PM
Well, when I figure out fairly quickly, and much earlier than Sam and Dean do, who the "perp" or monster for the episode is (such as Emmanuelle Vaugier's character and her neighbor Glenn being the werewolves in the episode "Heart" {episode number 2.17}), I consider that predictable.

Or, as in the episode "Crossroad Blues" (#2.08), I figure out the general story of an episode after less than 5 seconds of the show, I consider that predictable.

I like shows that really trick me in one way or another, not going the direction I think they are from the get go (Hustle is often good at fooling me, just to name one show I've also been watching recently that is NOT predictable all the time).

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying Supernatural, just not as much as I feel I should or could, if the writers were doing their job a little better.

Does predicting something somehow lessen the enjoyment of the story? Does it make the dramatic moments less dramatic? The first 5 seasons of Supernatural are excellent. Great acting and good story lines.

This isn't a show with twists in every episode. This is about the journey of two brothers and their life fighting the supernatural. It's suspenseful, funny as hell, and sometimes downright depressing. I don't really see where "predicting" stuff comes into play. Are you perhaps thinking this is a mystery show or something? You said you were in season 2 right? Season 2 has a hell of a finale. There's no big mystery behind it. It's just the acting and the plot, etc. It's really good entertainment.
