I could go on a rant about it, but instead I'll just point to one scene from the movie:
SHIELD is scanning for the Tesserect. They can tap into every single camera, cell phone, and computer on the planet. Just like that.
Seriously, what the hell? Dark Knight had something not nearly as invasive (the stupid cell-phone radar), and that was treated as awful. Here, it was just a matter of course.
