But Obi Wan said Anakin was prophecied to destroy the Sith "not join them!" And he did. Eventually. *NM* Cannoli Send a noteboard - 11/06/2012 04:38:42 PM
From The Phantom Menace
Yoda: [referring to the Sith] Always two there are. No more. No less. A master and an apprentice.

From A New Hope
Obi-wan: A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi knights.

Anakin helps eliminate all of the Jedi but two, Yoda and Obiwan Kenobi survive. The Jedi and Sith reach equilibrium sometime between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Two of each. Darths Sidious and Vader being the two Sith.

Balance isn't necessarily a good thing. Would you rather have a balance of sociopaths and non-sociopaths in a given neighborhood or would you prefer an overwhelming majority of non-sociopaths?

"Balance to the Force" is a numbers game. The key is in a comment by Yoda at the end of Ep. 1. - 08/06/2012 11:04:03 PM 1344 Views
