Otherwise, as said above, the 4400 is alright.

How about Misfits? If you can understand the language, it's been interesting (I have only seen the first season and a half though, so it might suck later)

Alphas was actually better than it gets credit for being, but they cancelled it after two seasons, so maybe not... Eureka could work I suppose?

Another brit show: Torchwood (Doctor Who spin-off)

Primeval New World? Dinosaurs in Canada! (They even had one episode where the dinos disturbed the hockey... Or something.)

Now, if you change your mind and want a bit more aliens in space, farscape is probably the best series ever made, and all four seasons of babylon 5 is great.
