I guess that's the difference between fans and non-fans. Legolas Send a noteboard - 16/02/2013 09:29:59 AM
By the end scene, I was crying, and I rarely cry at movies.

Did you actually care for those characters, though? Jean Valjean, yes, but the rest? I just can't get past that impossible Marius, and Cosette had me as a child, but really not as an adult (which isn't Amanda Seyfried's fault, she just doesn't seem to do anything other than falling in love at first sight in a remarkably shallow way).
P.S. I actually didn't mind the sing-songy dialogue. But I do agree about the awkwardness that is/was Crowe.

Yeah, he's bad enough at times that I expect even the most sympathetic reviewers must have their reservations about him. Particularly in the beginning.

So how is the Spoken vs Sung ratio throughout the entire film? - 16/02/2013 12:30:09 AM 312 Views
Yeah, the majority of it is definitely singing. - 16/02/2013 09:22:50 AM 360 Views

I take it you're too fond of the book to see it disgraced so in the musical version. - 16/02/2013 10:47:21 PM 311 Views
I think it's more the trashy nature of the songs makes it impossible to watch. - 28/02/2013 12:56:01 AM 293 Views
