From the way Ygritte acts, I suspect she is constantly on her period. Jon would never get any.

Jon does not understand women.

Just because a girl is energetic and impulsive does not mean she is going to put out. Ygritte is fiery and hot headed, and thus Jon sees that as energetic and impulsive. Just because a women has passion does not mean she wants you, if she is a you should run away not towards.

Like Ygritte says,

"You know nothing Jon Snow."

No wonder Jon turned to Satin, after one bad experience with women of course he went running back to the wall.
