In the case of Angel, there's a bunch of things in that last season that feel strange/rushed - the Fred-Illyria thing and the killing of Lindsey are just the most obvious ones. Though the general idea of "it never ends" was pretty good.

I liked Rome's. Or at least, the ending scene was great, don't remember all of the episode.
