Bond was an action-comedy series at all times, and it didn't take itself too seriously (though obviously too many fans were too stupid to realize that). Ever since they "rebooted" it in Casino Royale, they've tried to make it more serious, and it has turned into yet another idiotic series like the Bourne movies or Mission Impossible. I found the last one completely unwatchable and turned it off after an hour. Just let it die and come up with something new and original.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
