Let's not forget that it's pretty easy for the government to lie. A lot easier for them to tell him that the daughter died while she's on some top secret mission and fake the dna stuff than for the show to come up with some weird explanation for why some peoples' futures don't come true.

Also, did Dimitri's fiancée really see him in her FF? We didn't see that. But why would she claim so?


Because she just assumes that it's him. Without another man in her life, that's easy to assume.
