as far as i can remember from the images that stuck in my head, there were exploding people and blood flying everywhere when the alien weapons were used on them, as in the trip back in to the hospital to get the black cylinder, and when he uses the massive exoskeleton to blow the crap out of a bunch of folks... yeah, i agree, watchmen was also full of the gore. and the most ridiculous sex scene *ever!*
