The quality really is very good. And with some gaming systems able to run it, people will buy them just because "well I might as well since I don't even need to go buy a blu-ray player!"
And seriously. My dad has this large flat screen hi-def televison on the wall in our living room. My brother got a PS3 for christmas. The quality was already amazing on my dad's tv in his room (he has a blu-ray player in there), but goodness...on our main television with good speakers and all that jazz??
I've really come to believe it's well worth it.
