How and/or why the vamps have no allergy to the sun?


From certain reactions they do appear sensitive but not excessively so. Not sure why, possibly it was more plot-convenient to ignore that particular section of the myth?


And after having watched Moonlight, I just assumed the explanation would be the same. They're sensitive to the sun and it may make them sick, but it doesn't kill them by itself.
