And I don't like words like "stupid" very much when discussing films. Especially when his point wasn't.

That 300 the movie is based on 300 the comic book has nothing whatsoever to do with my claim that it is "tenuously based on a battle."

My point, once again, was that your complaint should go out to the comic. You are basically shooting the messenger when you trash the film. I didn't even find it outstanding, I just wonder how people can go into such movies expecting a history lesson and turn out angry it wasn't that. You know why I hardly ever leave a movie theater disappointed? I read up on the films I am about to see.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.

Rome and 300 really shouldn't ever be put in the same sentence. - 19/01/2010 01:20:16 AM 530 Views
You are mistaken. Both films/shows were close to their source material.. - 19/01/2010 02:29:00 AM 557 Views
I am not mistaken. The assumption that the source material is correct is inane. - 19/01/2010 05:23:20 AM 649 Views
The source of 300 is the graphic novel, not history - 19/01/2010 11:35:59 AM 573 Views
That was such a stupid potential argument that I gave him the benefit of the doubt and discarded it. - 20/01/2010 04:17:10 AM 515 Views
