1) I have a 46 inch Samsung LED backlit LCD, 1080p 240Hz of course.

Ohhh, sexy. Those new Samsungs are quite nice. Plus the LED backlight seems to help the blacks a lot.


It really does. It helps all the color a lot, it looked fantastic in comparison to the normal backlighting.

2) I like LCD better than plasma.

Ohhh a dissenter.

Haha, but in all honesty Plasma is nearly dead, so there isn't much of an argument to be had anymore. I think both technologies had their virtues, but consumers chose, and they chose LCD by a wide margin.


LCDs are thinner, run cooler, use less power, and don't have the burn in problems that plasmas had early on that tainted them, even though they largely resolved it.

5) I have a fairly large DVD library. Of course, mine just got combined with the wife's, so I don't have a full tally.

I assume your number of romantic movies went up in size dramatically?


Actually, only by a few. I gained some artsy action flicks and some good comedies. And disney movies. Oh god, the disney movies.
