VERY enjoyable.

Not an in-depth novel, but a great detective book. What's fantastic is that everything supports Rick Castle having written the book, there's an About the Author, Dedication, Author's Notes, endorsements from James Patterson, etc. There's lines and themes from the episodes so you can play along and pretend that an actual Castle wrote this.

Is the writing good? The plot?
