This show makes my brain hurt. It was clear that things would change from the fact that the plane didn't crash. But why are now things changed that already took place weeks, months and years before the flight? 

Therefore, the Hatch was never built. The numbers weren't broadcast in the same exact way. Dharma/Ann Arbor people did other stuff. Where did Dan Faraday grow up? Perhaps he's still on the Island? Was Widmore still exiled? Possibly, ads were never put out in the mail to which Never-Die-Eyepatch-Guy or Kelvin responded to. And on it goes.
