On the other hand, that sort of story doesn't really stick with me. It resolved by validating my beliefs rather than challenging them. The racist becomes less so; the at-risk youth becomes a stand-up guy; etc. I don't recall having to change my own way of thinking any then, and there's nothing left to consider now. But I'll probably watch the next movie he directs.
