I always remember one episode where Xena and Gabriel (I think that was her name) were in a barn-type structure. Gabriel was seriously injured, Xena was a bit wiped out from being on the run with an injured Gabriel, and they were about to be attacked by a horde of baddies.
It was a BAD situation, and Xena knew it. Basically, they were screwed and going to die (or at least, that was how it was presented...of course Xena can't die).
Instead of crying, instead of curling up in the corner, instead of trying to make a deal, instead of trying to run, what does Xena do?
F'it. If I'm going down, I'm taking all the bastards I can with me.
So bad ass! I loved that episode, as corny as it all was. Xena was a bad-ass warrior, and that was cool. And now she's apparently nekid in some show
