You do understand the beginning of the movie and why it was necessary, yes? *NM* everynametaken Send a noteboard - 02/04/2010 05:09:07 AM
First off, the quality of the filming is nothing short of excellent. I watched it on bluray, and the picture is just stunning. The movie is filled with absolutely beautiful images, and is just wonderful for the eyes.

The middle hour or so with HAL is interesting, fun to watch, and in my opinion the one part of the movie that is very enjoyable.

The first 1/2 hour or so with the apes?? Boring. Pointless and boring. The part leading up to, and on the moon? Slow and boring. The end? Confusing and boring. This movie could have easily been cut down to like...1 1/2 hours and still been interesting and not put me to sleep.

I enjoy the movie, or at least bits and pieces of the movie, but there is a lot of boring crap in the movie that just about puts me to sleep. I'm not bummed out that I bought the bluray, because the quality of the images is still beautiful, but I don't expect it to be a movie that I rewatch frequently.
